Group Financial Controller - Dubai (Relocation Opportunity)

Group Financial Controller, Travel Management Company, Dubai. A fantastic opportunity to join this rapidly expanding, technology lead, global travel management company. This is a newly created role that reports directly to the CFO and will be responsible for multi-country and entity accounting, reporting across different jurisdictions, group consolidation and compliance. 

Group Financial Controller Responsibilities
 

• Financial reporting and compliance including overseeing the delivery of local and consolidated financial statements. 
• Ensure compliance with GAAP / IFRS and local regulatory standards. 
• Overseeing all day-to-day aspects of accounting operations such as accounts payable / receivable, purchase ledger as well as leading on month and year end close processes. 
• Consolidating financial results from global entities 
• Provide leadership to regional finance teams and collaborate with the wider finance team across Tax, FP&A and Treasury.
• Be the primary point of contact for external auditors, regulatory bodies and tax authorities. 
• Continually evolve processes to improve efficiencies and workflows.  

Group Financial Controller Skills Required 
 

• A highly competent and analytical finance professional with experience working in multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction environments. 
• Experience gained in the travel industry, preferably business travel or travel agency sectors but wider travel industry ecosystem experience also considered. 
• Strong practical and theoretical accounting knowledge underpinned with BSc/MSc in accounting/finance and professional accreditation also preferred. 
• Proficient in consolidation tools such as Hyperion or Workiva and ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP. 
• Knowledge of international and regulatory requirements
