Business Development Manager - Specialist Cruise Company - Home/Field Based. An excellent opportunity for an experienced Travel Industry Sales professional to join a European, boutique cruise operator, responsible for driving sales and distribution across the Northeast region of the USA. You will be remotely/home based with regular travel to visit prospective clients and hosting FAM trips in Europe

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for creating and driving a B2B sales strategy that will contribute to increasing passengers. You will be negotiating commercial agreements with travel trade partners such as retail and host agents, tour operators and OTA's, increasing brand awareness and representing the company at industry events.

Business Development Manager Skills Required

  • Experience selling to the Travel Trade, preferably from a cruise or tour operating background given the companies USP's are more to do with the destinations they visit, experiences and touring the region.
  • Track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience using CRM systems (salesforce preferred)
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and ambitious sales professional
  • Strong commercial acumen



Business Development Package

A basic salary in the region of $70-80k per annum (depending on experience) + on target 30% bonus (with an upside to earn up to 40%), medical/health benefits, phone, laptop and all business travel related expenses
