Africa-Specialist Travel Consultant required by an experience-focussed, tailor-made travel company. Circa 38K, dependent upon experience. You will join as a senior team member meaning there will be early opportunity to rise into a leadership role. This role is office-based in London.

Africa-Specialist Travel Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming phone and email inquiries, offering knowledgeable guidance to clients.
  • Design bespoke travel plans tailored to individual preferences and requests.
  • Utilise internal customer management systems to organize quotes and finalize travel arrangements.
  • Deliver responsive, client-centred support following initial booking.
  • Manage booking-related administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy across partner communications, invoicing, and travel documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and launch of new travel destinations across Africa.
  • Support the growth of less experienced team members through coaching and mentorship.
  • Represent the business at selected industry events and participate in training sessions with service providers.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams when operational needs arise.

Africa-Specialist Travel Consultant Skills and Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated success in a personalized travel sales role, with particular experience arranging journeys to destinations within the African continent.
  • Established professional connections within the Africa-focused tourism industry.
  • First-hand travel experience within Africa
  • Strong aptitude for sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Competent in using word processing and spreadsheet software, with the ability to quickly adapt to a range of internal digital platforms.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for travel in Africa and a deep commitment to delivering outstanding client experiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, combined with a proactive and positive mindset.
