Travel sales Consultant – Specialist Travel
Birmingham Office (Hybrid available)

Looking for a sales role that’s more meaningful conversation than high?pressure selling? This specialist travel company is hiring an experienced Sales Consultant to join a team where the focus is genuinely on understanding people, not rushing them.
You’ll be speaking with customers who have detailed, specific requirements and want thoughtful, honest guidance on trips and holidays. It’s consultative, relationship-led sales - the kind where listening well, setting clear expectations and matching someone to the right trip really matters.
What you’ll be doing
• Managing inbound enquiries with a calm, consultative approach
• Understanding customers’ detailed travel requirements
• Giving clear, confident recommendations and building trust
• Converting quality enquiries into bookings with a long?term view
• Keeping accurate CRM notes for seamless customer support
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure trips run smoothly
• Bringing ideas to improve conversion and customer experience
What you’ll need
• Experience in sales or a customer-facing role with complex conversations
• Strong emotional intelligence and excellent listening skills
• Confidence handling detailed, sensitive or high?consideration decisions
• A results mindset balanced with genuine care for customers
• Good written and verbal communication
• Comfortable with systems, CRM and performance metrics
• A collaborative, proactive approach


Travel industry experience is helpful but not essential - your ability to build trust is what really counts.

Salary up to £28,000 Depending on experience plus commissions (ave £10000yr )
Shift pattern 1) 09:00–18:00 Mon–Thu, 09:00–17:30 Fri
Shift Pattern 2) 10:00–19:00 Mon–Thu, 09:00–17:30 Fri
Plus 1 Saturday in 4
Homeworking days of Tuesdays and Thursdays available only at this time
