Finance Assistant
This highly successful worldwide travel company are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team at their offices in Crawley. In this role you will be supporting frontline staff with payment and refund queries received from customers and providing an efficient service to resolve issues and processing manual card payment and refunds.

Finance Assistant - Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing telephone support to the contact centre and customer service team in relation to payment and refund queries
  • Monitoring of internal queues to check for payment and refund queries, responding and resolving efficiently
  • Processing manual payments and refunds
  • Responsible for posting accounting adjustments for manual payments and refunds.
  • Accountable for responding to emails received, taking the appropriate action required and liaising with internal departments as appropriate.
  • Support finance team with ad hoc tasks including compiling financial information to assist with month and quarter end accounting tasks.

Finance Assistant - Skills & Experience Required:

  • Double entry postings experience
  • Intermediate excel skills (formulas and pivot tables)
  • Journaling experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent numerical skills

Finance Assistant - Additional Information:

  • £20k to £22k
  • Hybrid - circa 2 days in the office after training
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
