Business Development Manager - Business Travel - Kent/Remote. A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Corporate Sales Manager to join a boutique travel management company based in Kent, responsible for selling into prospective clients across the UK from all sectors.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

You will be responsible for for the full sales cycle from lead generation and the initial prospecting of clients, initiating and attending face-to-face or virtual meetings with target clients, consultatively selling a variety of products and services dependent on customer needs and closing the sale. You will be responsible for telemarketing new prospects, attending exhibitions and networking events. You will also have a remit to account manage and grow client spend from existing clients. You will have a great deal of autonomy, be responsible for managing your own time, keeping track of activities, figures and forecasting.

Business Development Manager skills required

  • Must have worked at a business development manager for another TMC
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong negotiator
  • A proven track record of winning small to medium sized accunts
  • Ability to plan and manage a pipeline of sales activity
  • Experience and an understanding of the corporate travel sector

Business Development Manager Package on Offer

A competitive basic salary dependant on experience (to be discussed on application), excellent commission/bonus structure based on signing new clients and ongoing client spend.

The role will be partly based in the Kent head office 2-3 days a week and partly remote/field based (2-3 days a week).
