An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a large Independent Travel Agency, in their busy Product and Commercial department, based in Rotherham. Working as a Product and Commercial Assistant in their Sourcing Team, you will be rewarded with a basic salary of upto GBP20,000, 20 days holiday, pension scheme and free on site parking. Based in Rotherham or the Yorkshire area, the successful Product and Commercial Assistant for the Sourcing Team would have the ability to: -Develop strong working relationships with third party suppliers,Tour Operators and relevant personnel within outsourced partners -Manage the content and marketing of all sales channels/routes to market for direct distribution -Aid in the development and implementation of the Commercial and Destination strategy -Analyse, interpret and make recommendations for competitors information for change -Source products that support the Destination and Commercial strategy ie, gross margins,supplier targets -Working alongside and supporting the Product and Commercial team and the Travel Call Centre Managers to measure sales and contribution against targets -Monitor competitor activity and changes within the industry The Product and Commercial Assistant for the Sourcing Team would be required to have: -A good solid background in the Travel industry from a Travel Retail/ Branch/Tour Operator, having worked as a Branch Manager/Retail Manager/Store Manager or Assistant Manager -Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels -Excellent organisation skills -Ability to analyse management information and interpret social, market and industry trends -Can work under pressure and within time contraints -Excellent attention to detail -Strong Commercial Accumen This role would particularly suit those who have been a Retail Travel Manager/Travel Branch Manager/ Store Manager or Assistant Manager that is now looking for a move into a Commmercial role. You will work Monday - Friday , with hours between 9 - 5pm, The successful Product and Commercial Assistant for the Sourcing Team, will be rewarded with a competitive basic salary of upto GBP20,000.
