The successful Head of Reservations Operations and Transport Contracting will be rewarded with a basic salary, dependant on experience of between GBP 35,000 - GBP 40,000, up to 15% annual bonus, 25 days holiday, free car parking and contributory pension. As Head of Reservations Operations and Transport Contracting you will be working within a senior manger role for a well-known specialist travel company, which has been established for over 40 years that possess a leading travel brand and product in their modern offices in the Blackpool area. Within the role of Head of Reservations Operations and Transport Contracting you will take ownership of all transport suppliers such as airline, ferry, rail and coach companies alongside hotel suppliers for accommodation reservations maintaining delivery of all suppliers are in line with agreed timescales and budgets for service delivery standards. You will also be the line manager for the operations and transport contracting team, working alongside the Head of Services Ground Contracting Main responsibilities of the Head of Reservations Operations and Transport Contracting - Management and direction of the team leaders and relevant contractor including training development and performance management - Establish and monitor KPIs for all areas of transport contracting and hotel reservations - Overall responsibility for ensuring agreed service levels and financial goals are consistently met for transport and hotel reservations teams - Liaison with suppliers or contractors to resolve any serious operational issues - Ensure the transport contracting team contract coach, ferry, air and rail services in line with agreed timescales and budgets ensuring rates offer maximum competitive advantage to the company Suitable candidates MUST have experience of working for a Tour Operator having fulfilled a similar Senior Transport Contracting Manager or Head of Operations and Reservations role with strong experience in a senior manager position. Experience of airline fares ( IATA knowledge ) or coach contracting would be highly advantageous as would experience of having worked for a Coach Tour Operator.
