Logistics Manager is needed at the Head Office of the UKs largest car rental company whove earned a reputation for their progressive approach to the development of their people, providing first-class training and development within an open and approachable culture. Logistics Manager Responsibilities: * Managing a small team who are the link between their locations and their logistics providers * Overcoming issues and at the core of that will be communicating with all the stakeholders * Planning for future high demand periods such as Christmas and Easter * Standing in for the Logistics Director at meetings with the Operations team. * Good with numbers to be able to make decisions under pressure * Communicate clearly information and instructions to team and colleagues. Logistics Manager Skills Required: * Experience or at least knowledge of the car rental industry. * Experience of managing people. * An ability to manage under pressure * An ability and willingness to communicate at all levels especially when under pressure * Not to an analyst ability with numbers but its essential to be good and comfortable with numbers * A team player - within the department and the business * A positive outlook and a drive to succeed.
