Small family owned business operating a fleet of three luxury cruise boats for private charter on the River Thames is now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their friendly and busy team of 5. The majority of their events are corporate parties, lunches, dinner, product launches and the like ranging in size from 10 -600 guests and they also cater for private events such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. Business Development Manager: Responsibilities: - proactively research and generate prospective sales leads by telephone and face to face meeting to develop and maintain new business with key accounts - research and develop new business, establishing new contacts, introducing new business - handle event enquiries, producing quotations conduct showrounds Business Development Manager: Skills Required: - previous relevant industry experience preferably in unusual venues or hotels, sales experience required - previous new business development experience preferably with booking agents - passionate, professional and dedicated with strong desire to succeed. Additional Information for the business development manager role: Monday to Friday with flexi time between 7.00am to 6pm, excellent basic salary + good bonus around GBP5,000 per year, life insurance and travel expenses.
