HEAD OF COMMERCIAL Job Details

The successful Head of Commercial will be rewarded with an excellent basic salary of up to GBP 40,000 dependant on experience with a generous bonus of up to GBP 10,000 based on performance alongside other additional benefits and will be working for a leading and well-established travel company.

This Head of Commercial role is a high profile position within the organisation reporting directly into the Commercial Director your role will be to ensure that optimum commercial terms are achieved for the group via strong and effective negotiation of commercial terms with a large number of suppliers by

- Ensuring best possible commission rates for agents and the group are secured, setting and   achieving targets ensuring budgeted override earning is achieved
- Negotiate commercial agreements with Key Tour Operators
- Timely sales and revenue figure collection
- Liasing with the financial team to ensure accurate invoicing and most effective cash flow on income is maintained at all times ensuring accurate sales forecasting for the group is conducted on a quarterly basis.
- Overseeing in house search system (distributed to all agents), including commercial strategies, operator rankings and operator advertising opportunities; increasing exposure for operators whilst maximising revenue opportunities
- Ensuring all other contracts negotiated by the commercial team maintain the highest achievable terms for the group
- Acting as key account manager on a day to day basis for a large number of suppliers, ensuring excellent relationships are maintained, maximising all revenue opportunities where possible
- Controlling all master commercial contracts
- Overseeing the production of weekly KPI reports demonstrating sales figures and targets of key strategic partnerships, taking appropriate action to increase levels of business to meet given targets and increase income opportunities where applicable.
- Overseeing the production of commercial promotional elements including weekly offers via multi-e-mail highlighting supplier offers and incentives
- Ensuring all operator key messages are communicated effectively, including sales messages, offers, educational places, tacticals and incentives.
- Leading by example as you will be the line manager for a small team covering all aspects within the commercial arena
