We are currently looking for a Trainee Travel Consultant to start ASAP in this temp to perm role based in the Gatwick area. You will be working for a well-known global travel company who have a great office atmosphere and offer excellent company benefits as well as the chance to progress your travel career. Trainee Travel Consultant Responsibilities - * Answering incoming calls from VIP customers and taking details of travel enquiries * Meeting and greeting clients * Administration * General ad hoc duties Trainee Travel Consultant Skills Required - * A recent travel related qualification e.g. BTEC Travel and Tourism diploma, BTEC diploma in Travel Operations etc is ESSENTIAL * Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet) * Excellent customer service skills * Enthusiastic and professional with a strong desire to work in the travel industy * Clear and concise written and spoken English is essential Trainee Travel Consultant Additional Information: * This position is temp to perm so you must be able to commit long-term * You will start on an hourly rate of GBP7.50 per hour paid weekly direct into your bank account * The salary will rise to GBP17,300 per year if you are offered a permanent contract (this will happen after a period of approx 3-6 months depending on your work performance) * You will receive excellent ongoing training and development with a view to being a fully skilled permanent Travel Consultant * The start date will be Monday the 2nd of June If you have the above experience and are interested in applying for this role, please email your CV to biancaf@candm.co.uk or call Bianca on 02073971288 and quote BF858.
