| Description: |
An excellent opportunity with a UK Airline based in Crawley has become available within their Yield Department. Reporting to the Head of Yield, the successful candidate will play a key part in contributing to the achievement of high load factors on their flights. Working closely with the Yield Executives, the main purpose of this role is to price flight seats to ensure sales and revenues of flight stock are maximised. Applicants must have the ability to demonstrate previous yield experience, and must have the tenacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment under challenging circumstances. You must be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen, including a working knowledge of the charter or low cost flight market and an awareness of our key competitors. A high level of numeracy and analytical skills is required, along with the ability to plan and prioritise own workload and make decisions quickly. You will be highly proficient in the use of MS Excel spreadsheets and Word, and will have experience of a reservations system. Excellent communication skills are required to enable effective and professional interaction with colleagues. Responsibilities ·Analysing sales and adjusting prices to obtain maximum yields and load factors on flights for a range of destinations. ·Monitoring competitor prices and market conditions. ·Making appropriate pricing and duration decisions based on understanding sales patterns, target margins and market conditions. ·Working closely with the Trading team to maximise saleability of seat stock by trading surplus seats with other Tour Operators and promoting one-way seats to Overseas Agents and key UK Agents. ·Providing support to the Yield Executives.
