A luxury long haul Tour Operator based in Bolton has an excellent opportunity for a Web Designer to join their expanding Marketing Team. This leading Tour Operator is rapidly growing and is looking to expand their busy Marketing team. The role of Web Designer offers a competitive salary of up to 27,000.00 GBP depending on experience along with a great working environment, concessionary holidays and company bonus to name a few. Within the role of Web Designer you will - Manage the redesign and creation of the Destinology website including developing the overall look and feel for the website, implement new product areas (Flight, Hotel, Package etc) and improve the presentation of existing products. - Develop the overall usability of the website and ensure the website complies with up to date accessibility guidelines - Develop email marketing templates and campaigns for customer newsletters and other email communication - Assist in the day-to-day web design for both the website and other online marketing activities e.g. banner advertising, landing pages etc. - Have additional responsibilities to create the design of a new travel review website and the website of a local football club. To be successful in the role of Web Designer you will have - At least 12 months commercial experience with hand coding sites using XHTML and CSS - A full understanding of web accessibility guidelines, usability, cross browser and cross platform issues - A basic understanding of ASP.NET - An understanding of SEO (Desirable) - Experience of working in the travel industry or e-commerce environment (Advantageous) The successful Web Designer will be rewarded with an attractive salary of up to 27,000.00 GBP dependent on experience.
