An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a dynamic, expanding travel company who have been established for the past 15 years. This Travel Company have won numerous awards and are now the largest independent travel group in the UK. Due to growth we are now currently looking to recruit a travel industry professional to join the head office training department, to assist in the training of travel agents, reservations staff and new start inductions. The company offers free parking, on going development and support and annual performance salary reviews. They also offer a contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, excellent staff concessions and promote within their company from their own staff who show potential. Working Monday to Friday too! Within the role of Training and Development Officer you will - Assist in training new and existing travel agents - within sales, customer services product knowledge - Assist in training new travel agent owners to the industry in how to operate their new business venture - Work closely with other training officers, ensuring all training needs of the reservations departments of the company are planned. - Write and deliver training modules to various travel departments of the company - Be responsible for your own work, planning, presentation and deliverance on all occasions The successful Training and Development Officer will - Posses a strong track record of having trained travel sales consultants having worked for a Tour Operator or Retail Travel company within a similar role or management role - Have experience in the preparation and deliverance of training to multiple people - Be fully conversant with sales processes within the travel industry - Have experience of using various Travel industry systems - Ideally have sound knowledge of how to run a travel agency Working Monday - Friday, normal office hours the successful Training and Development Officer will be rewarded with an initial starting salary of up to GBP18,000 and free car parking.
