Walking in a sandy wonderland
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.The majority of Britons hope to one day celebrate Christmas overseas, according to the findings of a recent survey.
Travel search engine Kayak.co.uk conducted the poll and discovered that 60 per cent of Brits hope to escape to sunny climates for their festive celebrations.
And the top destination was anywhere with sun, sea and sand, with 41 per cent of respondents dreaming of a beach break.
Meanwhile, 21 per cent hoped to spend the holiday in a romantic European city, while 16 per cent believed a week of pampering at a spa retreat would suit them best.
However, while Britons wanted to visit a more exotic location, they still wished to spend Christmas with their families, with 40 per cent of respondents saying they would bring their loved ones with them, which may interest those seeking travel careers.
Annie Wilson, Kayak.co.uk business development director, said: "Christmas is still a traditional time to be with family, but we’re seeing a huge shift in how and where people are choosing to celebrate."
According to the Mirror, Disney World in Orlando, Florida may be the perfect foreign destination for the whole family to enjoy at Christmas.
