Shop till you drop
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.Those with jobs in travel may wish to advise holidaymakers of the Dubai Shopping Festival, set to take place from January 15th to February 15th 2009.
Now in its 13th year, the festival offers a range of entertainment suitable for the whole family, including events for the kids, international fashion shows, visiting artists, streetside performances, nightly fireworks, film festivals and musical and cultural events.
Abdulla Hassan Amiri, the operations and logistics manager for Dubai Shopping Festival Office, said shopaholics and tourists will also have the chance to win some prizes or take advantage of the many discount schemes being run.
Visitors can even go skiing during the day should they choose to, he added.
"There's entertainment, there're the biggest malls in the world [and] there's also the desert - [the tourists] can enjoy it," Mr Amiri claimed.
According to Dubai Shopping Festival, since it began in 1996, it has become an annual shopping, entertainment, and cultural extravaganza that continues to promote tourism in Dubai and draws people from around the world each year.
