Popularity of Cyprus as tourism destination 'on the up'
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.Cyprus is an increasingly attractive tourism destination, it has been reported.
Marios Christodoulou, a spokesperson for national tourism organisation Love Cyprus, reported that although the European country has always been a sought-after location among holidaymakers, recent moves have seen it witness further surges in the tourism popularity stakes.
It was report that Cyprus now has 52 blue flag beaches and has "coped with modernisation well".
He said: "Cyprus is getting more and more popular as it is undergoing increasing development for tourism and special interest tourism."
And in news that might interest those with travel agent jobs, Mr Christodoulou claimed that there a number of activities available on the island, including golf, cycling and diving.
Meanwhile, he stated there is "high quality" accommodation targeting various kinds of travellers.
In other news, it was recently revealed that Slovakia is looking to attract more tourists and will promote its strong air travel links to Britain, spas and adventure holiday facilities to UK tourists and travel agents.
