According to Derek Larney, writing on the online pages of Trinity News, the event takes place in Val Thorens, which is situated in the Three Valleys ski area.
With over 10,000 skiers and snowboarders getting involved, top DJs are also flown in from across the world and the event concludes with a huge party in the snow, making it a winter festival with a difference.
As the resort is one of the first ski destinations to open for business during the season, Mr Larney points out that holidaymakers can often secure a cheap deal, something which those in the travel industry may advise on.
Meanwhile, online resource Snowbrainer has noted that Britons should ensure they enquire as to the cost of transporting their winter spots equipment when they are planning an overseas break.
