NZ 'key destination for wine tourists'
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.The 'new world' offers a range of attractive destinations for wine tourists.
Such is the assertion of wine experts Neil Phillips and Chris Scott, who report that the likes of the United States and Australia are particularly sought-out by those looking to combine their passion for the alcoholic beverage with travel.
Mr Scott said: "The new world has the best set up for wine tourism and America and Australia are both very good places for wine tourism."
However, Mr Phillips pointed out that New Zealand is "one of the key places to go" for such holidaymakers.
It was reported that the antipodean country had been a particular source of development in wine over recent years and also offers an excellent range of cuisine.
He added: "It's a fantastic country in terms of food and travel."
Comments made by the pair could be of interest to those people with jobs in the industry.
Last July, Dagmar Marrocco, senior product manager for Travel 2/4, claimed that tourists are increasingly seeking breaks to Australia and New Zealand.
