Most popular ethical holiday destinations revealed
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.The ten most sought-after responsible travel destinations have been unveiled in a new study, it has emerged.
Research released by Ethical Traveler reveals that among the in-demand countries for such tourists include Chile, Nicaragua, Bulgaria and Argentina.
Also in the top ten list were Estonia, Costa Rica, Bolivia and Croatia, Travel Mole reports.
Jeff Greenwald, executive director of Ethical Traveler and co-author of the report, said: "Each year, the public's interest in responsible tourism grows."
He added that the research could be of assistance to those tourists who choose to use their holiday expenditure to help support the environment and human rights.
Namibia and South Africa rounded out the countries cited on the report, in news that interest might be of interest to those with jobs in the travel sector.
Meanwhile, a recent study by responsibletravel.com showed that there has been a 95 per cent increase in people taking an environmentally-friendly holiday in Britain during the first six months of this year.
