Lights, camera, action in Northumberland

Those interested in securing travel employment in the county may already have heard that a unique festival is being planned which will use lights and music to bring the natural and architectural landscape of the district to life.
Sheelagh Caygill, PR executive at Northumberland Tourism, also noted that the region has always been seen as an action-packed destination, frequently attracting walkers, as well as offering rock climbing on the coast, sea kayaking and canoe trips.
"Action [of the Lights, Camera, Action campaign] is because there is so much to do and it's such a diverse county and the scenery and landscape is really diverse," she added.
She concluded that Northumberland also offered the opportunity for visitors to relax and chill out in some of its hotels and holiday cottages.
The northern county benefits from nearly 80 miles of North Sea coastline.
