Discover a hidden London
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs. Those with jobs in the travel industry who are keen to promote domestic tourism may wish to advise their customers about the lesser known parts of London that they could choose to explore.
A spokesperson for TripAdvisor said that when it comes to visiting the UK's capital, it was best to go off the beaten track.
"If you really want to see authentic London, then you need to visit the series of villages that London is to an extent," she explained.
According to the travel representative, this meant getting "under the skin" of the city and not getting caught up in the crowds that visited Leicester Square and other tourist hotspots.
She went on to note that visitors who returned to London now may find they could get more value for money out of their trip than before the financial downturn.
TripAdvisor recently revealed that London has been voted the best European city for both free attractions and public parks in a survey of 2,376 European travellers.
