Cyprus unification 'would bring benefits'
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.The unification of Cyprus would bring a number of benefits to everybody - including those with jobs in the travel sector - it has been claimed.
According to the property editor of Buy Association, Paul Collins, talks on the unification between the new southern government and the Turkish-controlled north could bring a range of benefits.
"Reunification can only be good for Cyprus - it means that they will be able to fully integrate into the EU ... It will definitely benefit everybody. I think everyone wants a unified Cyprus and see a resolution to this problem," said Mr Collins.
He added that a resolution to the issue could be seen within the months or years, rather than further down the line.
Such a move could also pave the way for Turkey to become a member of the EU, as well as Cyprus, the expert claimed.
