Camping holidays 'rising in popularity'
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.Camping holidays are becoming increasingly popular among Britons.
Such is the assertion of Jonathan Knight, editor of the Cool Camping series of guidebooks, who reported that more people are opting to go on such breaks as the equipment used has improved over recent years.
He claimed that now holidaymakers are able to stay in tents and caravans which allow them to "decide on their own level of comfort".
Meanwhile, it was stated that music festivals are also opening up more holidaymakers to the thought of going on a camping break.
Such news might be of interest to people working in the travel industry.
Mr Knight also cited the drive in camping holidays due to people wanting to escape the hectic lifestyle of living in a city.
In related news iknow-uk recently reported that booking enquiries for domestic holidays rose by 60 per cent over the course of May.
