Book ahead 'to get cheapest deals'
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.People who book their holiday for 2009 now, perhaps due to a tourism employment scheme, stand to save as much as £1,000.
According to research from Which? Holiday, the cheapest deals on getaways to Majorca in July 2008 were available between August and September 2007.
It added that a similar trend was seen on a holiday for two to Cancun, Mexico in July 2008 when booking in February or March that year - with savings of £712 to be made.
"For families wanting to get away next summer with specific destinations in mind, we recommend booking in the next month or so to avoid disappointment when it comes to availability and cost," said Lorna Cowan, editor of Which? Holiday.
This comes as the BBC has reported that Britons are heading back to three Thailand airports after they were closed in protests against the country's government.
