Thailand 'adds extra level of luxury'
For more permanent travel consultant jobs in the travel industry, visit our latest jobs page.Thailand could prove to be a popular choice for those contacting their travel consultants in 2010 due to the luxury and affordability the country offers, it has been claimed.
Joanna Cooke, UK and Ireland marketing manager for the Tourism Authority of Thailand, said even in hotels that are off the beaten track, five-star luxury in Thai establishments is better than that found in other destinations around the world.
She commented: "With Thailand, the Thai hospitality and the service that you get there automatically adds an extra star to where you are staying."
Ms Cooke added the country offers a range of attractions to meet all tastes, ranging from luxury, pampered getaways to adventure holidays for thrill-seekers.
According to the Pacific Asia Travel Association, south-east Asia witnessed a 15 per cent year-on-year increase in arrivals during November.
Strong figures posted by Singapore (up eight per cent), Thailand (up 26 per cent) and Vietnam (up 37 per cent) underpinned this growth.
