Firm to expand number of travel jobs in Scotland
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.A tour operator is looking to expand the number of jobs it offers in Scotland, it has been revealed.
Travel 2 Travel 4, a long-haul tour operator, has announced it is looking to hire around 100 people for its Skypark reservations centre in Glasgow.
Gary Arbuckle, recruitment and project officer at Travel 2 Travel 4, claimed the expanded team means that the firm will be able to work with travel agents more effectively.
He pointed out the reason for the recruitment drive is because the company is set to widen the range of hotels, destinations and tours offered in its 2009 brochure.
"Travel agents are vital to the success we've had recently and this drive will help improve the service we offer to agents even further," Mr Arbuckle added.
Such news could be of interest to those looking for jobs in the travel industry.
The announcement follows the recruitment of 30 travel industry workers at Skypark in February last year.
Speaking earlier this month, Club Med chief executive Henri Giscard d'Estaing claimed that travel agents provide a valuable service to those looking to book a holiday.
