HRG wins pharmacy deal
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) has secured a multimillion pound business contract, it has been revealed.
In beating off competition from five other travel management companies (TMC), HRG has won a deal with Lloyds Pharmacy and now is set to manage the pharmacist's business travel, meeting room requirements, in news that could interest those looking for business travel jobs.
Starting in November, the contract will be managed by HRG's Leicester branch.
Commenting on the announcement, Peter Dawkins, group supplies buying manager for Lloyds Pharmacy, claimed that the HRG team "listened to our requirements and then presented a package that covered all aspects of our travel, accommodation, events and management information needs".
As such, Lloyds Pharmacy will now be able to use the TMC's online-based travel tracking system HRG Travel WatchTM, as well as self-service system HRG OnlineTM.
In other news, Nottingham Trent University recently awarded Ian Allan Travel with a deal to manage its air, hotel and train bookings, while BSI have been given responsibility for meetings and other business-related accommodation in deals worth a total of £1.5 million.
