CWT wins new account
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.Carlson Wagonlit (CWT) has won a multimillion pound business travel contract, it has been revealed.
The company has been selected by Tarmac - a quarrying and construction materials firm - to manage its spending on corporate travel and meeting & events, Business Travel World reports.
Overall, the account is worth £2 million each year.
Commenting on the news, Alison Smith, director of sales for CWT, said: "Increasingly, companies are realising the benefits of consolidating their procurement in terms of savings and information delivery and we are looking forward to helping Tarmac unlock these in the coming months."
Louise Farmery of Tarmac added that the firm had been looking to consolidate its spending on corporate travel and meetings & events in order to ensure maximum return on investment.

Last month, the firm revealed that global sales for the first half of this year stood at $15 billion (£8.3 billion), an increase of 16 per cent from the same period in 2007.
