Business travellers 'want more security'
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.Business travellers are looking for enhanced security at train stations while out on work-related matters, a new study showed.
In research carried out by Barclaycard it was indicated that just over nine out of ten (91 per cent) businesspeople feel safe when travelling by air due to recent increases in security measures at airports.
However 48 per cent of those questioned claimed that they would like to see such heightened safety procedures to be installed on other forms of transport - including trains.
The results of the study might be of interest to those with business travel jobs looking to attract new clients.
Barclaycard also indicated that 82 per cent of business travellers are happy to undergo precautionary security checks when away on work-related matters.
Last month, a study by American Express and CFO Research showed that the majority of firms across Europe believe they are to increase their levels of business travel in the months to come.
