Business travel organisations team up for new taskforce
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.Two leading corporate travel organisations are joining forces to investigate new ways of working in the industry, it has emerged.
In news that might interest people with business travel jobs, it was revealed that the Institute of Travel Management (ITM) and the Guild of Travel Management Companies (GMTC) have set up a taskforce examining the various remuneration options and models which are available and explore new ways of working.
Now the two associations have called on those in the business travel sector to take part in the examination of price transparency and managing relations between buyers and suppliers.
Paul Tilstone, executive director at the ITM, said: "ITM and GTMC feel it is important to act on the issues rather than pontificate.
"We hope the results will throw up some real alternatives."
Meanwhile, GTMC reported that corporate train travel increased by 13 per cent over the course of May.
