All-inclusive holidays 'target different markets'
Travel industry news brought to you by C & M Recruitment, specialists in business travel jobs.All-inclusive holidays appeal to differing types of holidaymaker, one industry expert has asserted.
According to Frances Tuke, spokesperson for the Association of British Travel Agents (Abta), the average all-inclusive break does not exist, with demographics seeking different things from this kind of break.
She said: "There's no such thing as a typical all inclusive holiday because they do have different markets."
The Abta representative asserted that breaks catered towards families often include sports activities, in addition to incorporating the cost of meals, flights and transport.
Meanwhile, Ms Tuke pointed out that those offered by the likes of Beaches and Sandals cater towards couples.
Such news might be of interest to those seeking jobs within the travel sector.
Her comments come after a recent study Halifax Travel Insurance revealed that although 2.5 million Britons go on a package holiday to an exotic destination each year, they only spend an average of seven hours outside of their hotel.
