ICE to open new contact centre

The owner of the newly purchased websites 1st4cruising.com and Voyanna.com plans to open a customer contact centre which will create up to 100 travel jobs.

The domain names were bought by International Cruise & Excursions (ICE) Europe Ltd from the collapsed Total Travel Leisure Holdings to "service the company's growing customer base in the cruise and travel market".

The new centre is to be built in Stanmore, Middlesex, and will further bolster its existing base in Cork.

Warren Joy, from ICE Europe, said: "The acquisition of these website domains and associated customer databases has further strengthened our position as a world-leading provider of innovative cruise and travel programmes.

"The creation of our new outbound contact centre in Stanmore will enable us to introduce more customers from 1st4cruising.com and Voyana.com to the wide range of holiday options we offer through our established loyalty reward schemes, including cruises and resort packages."

The firm also has an administration centre in Kettering and a European headquarters.
