AITO is run by a Council of (unpaid) members who elect one of their number to the position of Chairman.  The Council which meets regularly throughout the year, is supported by a team of permanent staff based in Twickenham, managed by a full-time Executive Director.

AITO's great strength comes from the diversity of its membership and the expertise of its repective owners.  Together, AITO companies finds strength in numbers to purchase services of various kinds, to make their collective voice heard on a range of issues, to promote the association's values and to market the remarkable variety of members' holidays.

The Institute of Travel and Tourism

The Institute of Travel & Tourism was set up to raise and maintain professional standards throughout the travel industry and for the benefit of its Members.  

Elite Travel

Elite Travel Group is a Consortium of Quality Independent Travel Agencies. Our primary objective was, and remains, to help and increase the profitability of the Members but not to make profit from them. We differ from other travel consortia by being 100% owned by our membership! This means each member is equally represented.

UK Inbound

UKinbound is a trade association founded in 1977 to represent the interests of the UK's inbound tourism businesses.

Originally known as BITOA (British Incoming Tour Operators Association), we now have around 250 members, and are one of the leading trade associations in the UK tourism industry and the only association to focus exclusively on the vital export earning inbound sector.

UKinbound represents a diverse membership of tourism providers who organise tours in the UK, provide accommodation in the UK, or who provide cultural, sporting and other leisure activities in the UK.

Our members include accommodation providers, destination marketing, attractions, tourism service providers, inbound tour operators, and UK ground handlers. You can be sure that by choosing to work with one or many of our members you will get a highly professional service.

The primary aim of UKinbound is to represent the interests of our members to help them manage successful, profitable businesses that are part of a vibrant and sustainable inbound tourism industry.
