This is where all of the nett and published fares are issued and all travel tickets and documents are issued. You must ensure the correct that all tickets and documents are correct. You will have a working knowledge of ticketing on a GDS (Worldspan, Amadeus, Galileo or Sabre) or in-house reservation systems and have good organisational skills. BA Fares and Ticketing or an IATA qualifications are a distinct advantage for these kinds of roles. There are a variety of roles that C&M Travel Recruitment recruit for in the Fares and Ticketing sector including: A Fares Consultant will work on various complex air itineraries. Generally there is little or no customer contract involved in the role although you will have contact front line consultants using a queuing system on a CRS and via email to the clients. Generally due to the complexity of some of the fares you must have Nett, Consolidated and Published fares experience. Ticketing Consultants are responsible for the dispatch of tickets in line with IATA regulations for all schedule and charter flying programmes. You will deal with all post booking queries, pre-departure changes and processing accommodation and flight requests. You will produce all charter and scheduled flight tickets using a GDS and deal with any telephone ticketing enquiries in a professional and efficient manner. You will also have excellent organisational skills and an excellent telephone manner and a desire to deliver first class customer service. The Ticketing Manager looks after the team of Ticketing Consultants. The Ticketing Manager ensures the day to day running of the ticketing team whilst maximising the efficiency of the team. You will be required to have ticketing experience and a strong working knowledge of a CRS and be able to issue consolidated fares using nett remit, BT and IT ticketing methods, as well as experience in manual fare building. Flight co-ordinator will work very closely with the ticketing team to deal with flight requests, including allocations. The flight co-ordinator will need to have flight reservations and ticketing experience. Refunds Consultants or Refund Administrators deal with enquiries from travel agents and passengers regarding cancelled airline tickets, refunds, and cancellation charges. The Refunds Consultant will process cancelled tickets through BSP and refunding passenger and agent accounts by cheque, direct debit, credit card or via in-house direct credit systems.
