CommercialThe commercial function works very closely with the Product, Pricing and Yield functions to ensure that the business is able to maintain and improve the profitability of the business. Often the Commercial function can also take control of flight capacity and bed stock in order to ensure the accurate pricing and cost base and be responsible for any tactical activity required as a result. C&M Travel Recruitment work with many of the major business and leisure travel companies as well as airlines, car hire and cruise companies across the UK to provide Commercial staff solutions. There are a number of roles that C&M Travel Recruitment recruit for in the Commercial sector including: The Commercial Manager has responsibility for the Commercial department. This includes identifying new markets & business opportunities, reviewing current business practises undertaking necessary changes, delivering sales targets, managing costs and ensuring there is strong leadership in all sales areas. The Commercial Executive will work alongside the Commercial Manager to constantly monitor margins and prices for all distribution channels and feed information through to the product department as required. The Pricing Manager will work alongside the contractor and product function to manage the pricing process throughout the product or brochure lifecycle to ensure maximum margins are achieved. The Yield Manager is responsible for managing and maximising the yield of the accommodation or flights programme as applicable where guarantees and commitments have been made. Closely monitoring sales and controlling availability and the monitoring of competitor pricing is essential to this role.
