TripAdvisor to launch rankings tool

Travel review site TripAdvisor is upgrading the service it provides to subscribers of its Business Listings.

The company hopes a more advanced version of its management dashboard will allow subscribing hoteliers and accommodation providers to access detailed feedback from customers and gauge performance against competitors.

The service will be free of charge to subscribers of TripAdvisor Business Listings, who will then be able to view which countries are generating the most traffic for each particular property. The dashboard will also feature a special offers recommendations tool and will track hotel performance against areas where improvement can be made.

The new tool will be useful for UK travel  and accommodation providers as well as international travel  operators and TripAdvisor hope the dashboard will become a go-to device for ranking performance.

Christine Petersen is president of TripAdvisor for business. She said: "This is an easy-to-read report that is designed to help track a business's performance, compare its performance against the competition and make informed decisions about how to engage our large community of travellers."
