Travelzoo appoints new commercial director

Global internet media company Travelzoo has announced the appointment of a new commercial director.

Richard Singer will join the company's European team and will be based at their European headquarters in London.

Faced with the task of further developing Travelzoo's commercial activities across the region, Singer joins Travelzoo with a wealth of experience.

His previous roles include a range of travel jobs working for the Telegraph Media Group, where he was the general manager of Telegraph Travel, as well as director of digital and consumer revenues at the Telegraph Media Group and director of Telegraph Direct. Prior to joining the Telegraph Media Group in 2002 Singer worked for Bourne Leisure.

Stephen Dunk, managing director of Travelzoo Europe said: "We are delighted that Richard is joining us in this newly created pan-European role. His expertise, dynamism and industry knowledge will add tremendous value to our business."

Singer said: "Travelzoo is a dynamic digital media company that has enjoyed tremendous success across Europe since it launched here in 2005. I am very much looking forward to working with the European team to build upon this success."

UK national Singer graduated from Loughborough University with an MSc in Management and is married with one child.
