Travel group office will bring jobs

A major travel and leisure company has brought good news for travel recruitment with the announcement that it will create jobs through a new head office.

The Minoan Group's chairman, Christopher Egleton, said the Glasgow office would bring a "substantial" number of job opportunities over the next three years.

The group said the office, supported by a grant of up to £500,000 from Scottish Enterprise, will be a major factor in growth plans in the UK and abroad.

The grant will reimburse the group for some costs on capital expenditure and salaries after it meets certain targets.

Egleton said the Glasgow office would bring with it a large number of job opportunities.

He said the company was delighted with the grant and appreciated Scottish Enterprise's support. Minoan was building a travel business of substance and Glasgow is "a first class city to host our head office function", he added.
