Travel Republic 'won't change'

Travel Republic 'won't change'

There are no plans to change the way Travel Republic operates following its partial purchase, its boss has said.

Kane Pirie has moved to reassure staff after Dubai-based Dnata acquired 100% of Travel Republic owner Travel Technology Investments.

Newly formed Dnata World Travel, which is 75% owned by the Dnata group and 25% owned by Mr Pirie, Chris Waite and Paul Furner, completed the acquisition.

Mr Pirie explained that the same management team will remain in place, while there will be attempts to grow the brand in Britain and across Europe.

Those searching for travel jobs opportunities could be buoyed by his comments, which could lead to further recruitment.

Pirie added: "There are no plans to change the wider Travel Republic team (i.e. zero redundancies).

"We are proud of the team we have built over the years and the fact we have never made anyone redundant. We only expect the team to continue to expand.

"In other words, I don't see that very much is going to change at all that should cause any of our staff or customers concern."
