Travel Matters conference announced

Travel Matters conference announced

Tour operators  will likely get behind the next Abta Travel Matters conference as it highlights the importance of outbound travel to the Government.

Tourism minister John Penrose will be discussing Government policy along with Mary Rance from UK Inbound and James Berresford from VisitEngland.

Now in its third year, the Travel Matters conference will tell ministers they should be just as keen on outbound tourism as they are on Britons holidaying on their own soil and attracting foreigners to the UK.

The event will take place on Thursday, May 10 at Millbank, Westminster. Those working in travel jobs  selling beach holidays and other overseas adventures will be keen to hear the results of the conference.

Mark Tanzer, chief executive at Abta, heralded the line-up of speakers.

He added: "Travel Matters provides a fantastic opportunity for the industry to share and shape views on key policy issues."
