Thomas Cook holds annual staff awards

Thomas Cook UK & Ireland has rewarded its best people working in travel jobs at a ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London.

Club 18-30 sales manager Kylie Paramanis was under the spotlight, winning the chief executive officer's (CEO) Employee of the Year title for 2011.

The event, attended by around 600 workers, saw a number of individuals and teams rewarded for upholding the company's PROUD mantra - Pioneering our Future; Results Orientated; Obsessed with Customer Service; United as One team; and Driving Robust Decisions.

Following her award, Ms Paramanis will assume an ambassadorial role in 2012, which will lead to her attending big events in the travel industry for Thomas Cook - she will even get to attend the opening ceremony at the London 2012 Olympic Games next summer.

She began working for the firm a decade ago, progressing from a sales centre role at Thomas Cook Direct, to becoming a team leader before moving abroad to work for Thomas Cook Signature. She started in her current role three years ago.
