Second Royal Caribbean at Southampton

Second Royal Caribbean at Southampton

A cruise ship boasting an ice rink, rock climbing wall and a host of restaurants is to be docked in Southampton.

It is the second Royal Caribbean International ship to be stationed in the city. With a variety of locations and seven, 12, 13, 14 and 16-night cruises available, holidaymakers will be spoilt for choice. Travellers can embark on a seven-night France and Spain cruise starting at £599pp, a 12-night Baltic sailing at £999 and 14-night Mediterranean voyage for £1,199.

The Adventure of the Seas ship can hold 3,114 passengers, and will set sail on May 24, 2013.

Bookings open on March 2 this year. Earlybirds who book before May 31 can enjoy a discount of up to £500 per cabin.

Holidaymakers will be able to secure the early booking price for a low deposit of just £150 per person. This, the company says, will protect against any future price rises.

Among the cruise operators' hottest offers are free car parking in Southampton, free coach travel to UK departure ports, and low prices on regional flights to UK departure ports for those booking cruises of 10 nights or more early.

The Adventure of the Seas ship takes its place alongside the 3,634-passenger Independence of the Seas, which has been docked at Southampton since 2008.
