Radisson Blu appoints new manager

The new year has brought with it a new appointment at Bristol's Radisson Blu Hotel, with Christopher Peach taking over as general manager.

After travelling the world during his 23 years in hospitality, Peach is now returning to his native Britain to manage the city centre hotel in a move which provides an early boost for hospitality and travel recruitment in 2012.

His first foray into the hospitality industry got under way in 1987 when he worked aboard the Queen Elizabeth II cruise liner as a commis chef. From there he worked his way up to many management roles across hotel chains in South Africa, China, Bahrain, UAE, Turkey and Russia.

Peach has been with the Rezidor group since last February when he was appointed executive assistant manager of the Park Inn by Radisson Pribaltiyskaya in St Petersburg.

The new Bristol general manager also has a chef diploma from the Bournemouth and Poole College of Further Education.
