On The Beach extends payment window

Holidaymakers have until 30 days before they jet off to pay for their trip under new plans from On The Beach.

Instead of having to pay as early as 90 days before departure, Brits using the online travel agent will have longer to get their funds together.

On The Beach customers will also enjoy lower deposits - from just £10 per person for hotel purchases and £55 per person for flights.

Alistair Daly, marketing director at On The Beach, said: "The nation is still very much feeling the pinch and we believe this new service allows customers to plan their holiday well in advance without having to commit as much money upfront.

"Now consumers can secure the best holiday today and pay the balance 30 days before they fly."

The changes may help boost the UK travel industry, as the flexible payment options could prompt more Britons to consider taking a holiday.

The Manchester-based firm said it was prompted to make the changes after studying customer feedback.
