Nigel Jenkins appointed Zest chairman

Travelzest has appointed travel business expert Nigel Jenkins as its new chairman, as it targets growth in Canada.

Jenkins, an experienced travel industry senior, is replacing Mark Molyneux who resigned to remain as a non-executive director of the online travel group.

Travelzest aims to grow their business in Canada with the aid of its newly-appointed chairman, who has worked as a non-executive director in the group for the last two years.

He said: "We are now structured to take advantage of the significant growth opportunities available to us in our key market of Canada.

"Mark has led the business through a long period of change and the board thanks him for his contribution and is pleased that he continues to support the group as a non-executive director."

Besides being very experienced in travel jobs, Jenkins also has much management experience. He has already led a team through challenging times when First Choice Holidays went through a restructuring process under his watch in Canada.

He then continued to work for First Choice Holidays in the UK as the managing director of the group's Activity Holiday Sector and as a member of the management board, leaving the company in October 2006. He was also a founding director of Unijet in 1981.

In addition to his new job at Travelzest, Jenkins also performs the role of non-executive director at All Leisure Group.
