Kuoni Events makes new appointment

Kuoni Events makes new appointment

Kuoni Events has appointed a new head of operations.

Vicki Knight has stepped in to the newly created role following the departure of head of events Anna Knowles in February.

Knight has been at Kuoni for 15 years, and was previously a project manager.

She said she wants to add more "exciting new destinations" to the firm's portfolio, which could provide a boost for travel jobs.

Knight will report directly to the head of events, who is based in Zurich.

She is responsible for the operational side of events in London and will liaise with the business development manager on new business. She will also supervise her team.

She added: "The plan for 2012 is to work even closer with our overseas Kuoni colleagues as well as introduce exciting new destinations into the Kuoni offering for incentives and conferences. Kuoni Events is also focused on development of strategic partnerships with brand and marketing agencies."
