Jalan and Expedia in hotel deal
Japan's largest hotel reservation website, jalan.net, has joined forces with Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) to enlarge its hotel inventory, it has been announced.
 
EAN confirmed it will supply beds through the Japanese website, a deal which will increase Jalan's hotel portfolio, including its own hotels, to more than 80,000 around the world.
 
Jens Uwe Parkitny, managing director, Expedia Affiliate Network, Asia Pacific. said: "We are pleased that Jalan has selected EAN to expand their international hotel inventory, a testimony to the solutions that EAN offers its partners."
 
"Japanese travellers now have even more access to great inventory, rates, and customer service."
 
Jalan, which is operated by Recruit, has five million visitors a month and will use EAN's new API which provides search, booking and hotel rate options.
 
Kentarou Mori, executive manager, global market development department at Recruit, said: "We're excited to work with Expedia Affiliate Network to enhance the booking experience for Jalan's customers."
