Heathrow Express appoints new boss

New Heathrow Express managing director Keith Greenfield has said he is looking forward to a new era for the rail link in 2012.

Mr Greenfield had previously been airline business development director at Heathrow and his appointment at Heathrow Express takes place with immediate effect. In his previous role he had been responsible for developing commercial relationships between the airlines.

This industry appointment will see Mr Greenfield, who also led Orange's wholesale division for nine years before joining Heathrow, take over the high-speed rail link which has been in operation for 14 years.

Mr Greenfield said: "I have always admired the attention to detail, customer care, service and reliability that I have experienced at Heathrow Express as a customer and look forward to taking Heathrow Express into a new era in 2012."

Mr Greenfield will look to oversee a period of innovation and growth for the rail link in 2012. The Heathrow-Paddington route is expected to have a busy summer as it transports Olympic tourists and athletes into London for the Games.
